Apart from being a professional photographer for years, I also have years of experience giving workshops, private lessons and more. Apart from YM Academy, I've also taught for businesses like Cameranu and Profoto.

Whether you want to learn more about the basics of your camera, advanced studio techniques, post processing or else, I’d love to help you develop your skills.

We will talk about your learning goals together, and when we decided the direction, I will lead you through the chosen subjects.

Location

The private lessons will usually be given in the photo studio of YM Academy in Nootdorp, between The Hague and Rotterdam. In the area, it’s a free parking zone. The studio is also easily accessible by public transport.

A digital private lesson or lessons on your desired location is also possible. Ask for the options if this is what you prefer.

Model

If we need a model for the lesson(s), you are welcome to bring someone you know. Another option is that YM Academy arranges the model. Ask for the options when you would like us to arrange a model for your lesson(s).

investment

The hourly rate for a private lesson is €95 (taxes included) for 1 student. Extra students can join for a reduced rate.

Unless it’s a digital lesson, the minimum per lesson is 2 hours.

Want to have a private lesson at your location? The rates are exclusive of travel and possible parking costs. Of course, this does not apply to the lessons at the location of YM Academy.

I had a private photography lesson with Ymke at YM Academy and it was so informative and also fun. I went in with some specific questions about lightroom and also some more general questions. Ymke very easily and clearly answered everything I asked and also helped me find some areas I could further work on. She was very friendly and makes you feel comfortable to ask questions. I would 100% take another lesson or workshop with her!
